My career as a personal fitness trainer began 10 years ago in Wilmington, North Carolina where I became certified by the American College of Sports Medicine as a Health and Fitness Instructor.
Specialties
My programs are by design broad, general and inclusive. My specialty is not specializing. I collaborate with each client to create a program that will have him or her achieve their goals and obtain a level of fitness that exceeds the physical demands of their daily life.
My Training Style
There is a gap that exists between great fitness programs and great results. The reason even great fitness programs often do not create the intended results, is due to a lack of consistency and focused intention. Together we get to the heart of what has impeded your success thus far.
I focus on bridging this "consistency gap" by putting our energy into implementing and maintaining practices and accountability necessary for program adherence while getting in the best workouts of your life. With a foundation of consistency, we then integrate all the vital aspects of life-long healthful living including: conscience eating, core strength, muscle tone, optimum flexibility and balance, as well as stress-management and proper balance of work and rest.
My goal is for you to achieve your goals as quickly as possible and continue a life of healthful living.
About Me
Born and reared in Maine and New Hampshire, I became interested in sports and fitness at an early age through ice hockey, martial arts, soccer and track and field. I am a former competitive kick boxer and continue to participate in the combative sports of jujitsu and kickboxing as hobbies. As an outdoor enthusiast I enjoy mountain biking, running, surfing and hiking.
My ability to connect with and teach others, combined with the refined knowledge of 10 years experience has attributed to my success as a trainer. I have trained clients in all typed of settings, including large health clubs, private studios, home gyms, "boot camps" and home or office environments. Client comfort is paramount in executing a satisfying and effective workout.
