Specialties
I do not specialize; rather I work will all kinds of clients, personalizing my workouts to the individual client's needs.
Training Style
I start with the basics, in order to get to know a client's personality, strength and weaknesses. I set a bar for my clients, and try to push them to reach the bar, but not through intimidation, but encouragement. I change my routines to keep them fun, all the while keeping in mind upper body, core, and lower body. Everyday includes a total body workout. I really enjoy training my clients to run, especially beginners who need motivation. I have several clients whom I run with, mostly ones who are just learning how. I've been a distance runner for many years and love helping others get the feel for it, no matter the pace. In general, I love to work out with folks, whether it be running, swimming or lifting. I even have one I play tennis with (I used to be a tennis instructor years ago). So for those who need someone to work out with them, I'm game.
Philosophy
I believe everyone can get fit, regardless of body type. My desire is to help people be comfortable with their bodies, without feeling the need to be a super model.
About me
I spend most of my spare time with my two children: a son who is a nationally-ranked junior tennis player whom I travel with to tournaments, and a daughter who is a horse fanatic and spends as much time as possible at the barn with her horse.
